What do you want to write?
A Toast to…Serious writing. Huzzah!
Writing is not always celebrated. Even the writer sometimes wonders what they’ve gotten themselves into. We normally toast weddings, promotions, acts of bravery, things and people we cherish. What do all those occasions have in common with your commitment to a serious writing project?
A toast to new beginnings, courage, commitment and love.
What you’re doing is brave. It is admirable. It is an act of love and generosity. It is even, actually, a promotion, in a way. You’re promoting yourself, in your life, to a senior enough position to have time to write several times a week. You’ve earned it. And it is a gift to the world. When you write, when you feel driven to write, you have something important to share. Your voice is needed. Your point of view is unique. If you love writing (or, having written), then you’re my kind of people, and I toast you!
Writers are the best kind of weirdos!
This season, while we think of others… do for others… give gifts… and celebrate with families, friends, communities, let’s do one thing for ourselves.
Do one thing now to make your New Year resolution, your dream for next year come true.
Join a writing club. The Mighty Writers Club is ready to toast your arrival and celebrate your writing victories all next year. Read more, and join us here.
This is a great time to give yourself the gift of writing, accountability, community, and presence with the work you want to write. Many of our writing members are new – just getting started on a work they’ve been writing in their heads for a long time. Many are established, published. They are in rewrite phase, and querying agents and building their platforms. You can take in what information you need only as you need it. Conversations that don’t apply to you right now are recorded and stored in the Mighty Writers Clubhouse, ready for when you need them.
As you can see, there are many categories and hours of useful information for any stage of writing, publishing, writer’s block or platform building! It’s a treasure trove!
Have a beautiful holiday season, knowing that you’re going to start writing in the new year, with an incredible writing club, and you’re going to make your dreams come true. Very soon.
